Untitled 28Time ticks by as I lay by your side, Thinking of all the tears that you've seen me cry. Running a finger down your sleeping face, I know there are millions who would take my place. Laying there safe and protected in your arms, Thankful that I fell for your undeniable charm, I think of how many times you've dried my tears, Picked me up, helped me through and calmed my fears. I feel you stir and I let out a sigh, The tilt my head to see those gorgeous grey eyes. They're beautiful, yet have a dangerous hint, And looking at you now I see a mischevious glint. Untitled 27Rain pounds against the leaves, As her heart races with fear. She crashes through the trees, As the sounds of the bridge grow near. Her mind is continuously whirling, As a branch scratches her cheek. Trying hard to believe what her life has become, As her feet splash through the creek. She can hear the footsteps behind her, And a familiar voice calling her name, But she ignores it, struggling on, Through her confusion, hurt and pain. She climbs the bank to the side of the road, Trying hard to believe that it is true, But she is left with no other option,  Untitled 27


Untitled 26Tears fall from her eyes, As she watches him walk away. Turning his back on their love and her heart, As she and her heart beg him to stay. She feels her life falling apart around her, As she collapses on the floor. She feels her heart shatter to pieces, With the slam of the door. Sobs shake her body, As the quiet settles, like the wind upon trees. The only sound her cries, The tears falling onto her knees. She looks around the room, At the life they built together, At the connection they shared, That he would so easily sever. He eyes land on a colUntitled 26


Story Preview-UntitledWater is a funny thing. Its always changing and moving, making it impossible to walk the same path twice. The ocean with its waves crashing upon the shore, the river as it sneaks over an around rocks that block its path, are never the same. These were the thoughts that passed through Karens head as she watched the waves come and go from the beach. The rain pelted the roof of the small house adding some substance to her thoughts.
